Sports are usually measured by goals, points, and personal achievements, but with a Fight Like a Kid Game, the scoreboard takes a backseat to a much more important battle. A FLAK game transforms an already scheduled athletic competition into a meaningful opportunity to educate, honor, and rally around children battling cancer. Our community-driven events are designed to raise awareness around pediatric cancer using sports as its anchor. These games unite rival athletes and fans for a singular mission; supporting children and families navigating the unimaginable challenges of pediatric cancer.
Hosting a game is simple and can happen in any season. Check out steps 1-4 to help your team get started.
1) Choose an already scheduled game on your schedule and call it "Fight Like a Kid" to support the belief: no child fights alone
2) Raise money for the Fight Like a Kid nonprofit to help us provide grants to families battling pedaitric cancer
Below are some examples of how money has been raised at Fight Like a Kid Games in the past:
Fundraising Page that FLAK can create using a nonprofit platform called GiveButter
Ticket Sales
50/50 Raffles
Point Pledges
Half Time Competitions

Raffle Baskets
Silent Auction
3) Spread awareness- hosting a Fight Like a Kid awareness game is bigger than the sport and bigger than the dollars raised. When only 4% of all cancer research funding is dedicated to childhood cancer and 40% of household income is lost, awareness becomes just as critical as fundraising. We encourage you to use social media to spread awareness about your game like a Facebook event, team video sharing your why, flyers, etc.
